Established in early 2022, Eureka Hope Counselling Centre (EHCC) was founded by counsellors Joseph and Syawal. Their vision was to integrate diverse experiences from school and mental health settings into a holistic approach, rooted in shared values of growth and well-being.
EHCC serves a dual purpose: fostering a community by sharing knowledge among professionals and addressing gaps left by government organisations facing long waiting times. With a commitment to mitigating these challenges, EHCC stands as a beacon of support and collaboration in the counselling landscape.

Counsellors’ profile
Joseph Choo
Joseph guides individuals on a transformative journey to self-discovery and resilience. With a background in Choice Theory Reality Therapy and Artistic Therapy, he offers a holistic approach that embraces emotions and creativity.
As a Registered Counsellor of the Singapore Association for Counselling, Joseph provides a client-centred space, fostering encouraging growth and authenticity. He believes in finding hope and opportunity in every moment, and he is dedicated to supporting individuals towards empowerment and an authentic self.
Syawal Hussain
Syawal, a compassionate counsellor, values growth, love, and personal freedom. Guiding clients with Emotion Focused Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and Adlerian Play Therapy, he fosters self-trust and love.
With expertise in addiction and mental health, he prioritises building strong client-therapist relationships. Holding a master’s in counselling, Syawal is certified in Gambling and Substance Addiction Counselling.
In his leisure, he enjoys socialising, TV series, and discovering new places. Syawal dreams of spontaneous trips, embracing the adventure that unfolds.
